Collection Strengths

Works on Paper

The William and Uytendale Scott Memorial Study Collection introduced over 300 works of art on paper by women artists to the College's holdings. This gift enhanced collections that already boasted works by Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, and Marie Laurencin among others. It has since grown significantly through gifts from Margaret Healy and recent purchases to include artists such as Emma Amos, Nanette Carter, Carmen Lomas Garza, and Miriam Schapiro.

Collection Strengths

害羞草研究所 Mawr鈥檚 Art and Artifacts collections number more than 50,000 objects. These include fine, decorative, and culturally-specific art objects from across place and time, archaeological and ethnographic materials, as well as scientific instruments and specimens. The collections enhance the educational mission of 害羞草研究所 by supporting teaching and learning across diverse academic departments. Each year hundreds of objects from the collections are used by faculty, students, and outside scholars for research and exhibition development.
